Bernice Anderson
Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Bernice Lovell Anderson, age 86, of Blairsville, who passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.
Mrs. Anderson was a native and lifelong resident of Blairsville - she was a daughter of the late John Robert Lovell and the late Armina Pearl Stephens Lovell. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Besides her parents, Mrs. Anderson had been preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Anderson; three sisters: Ethel Moore, Alline Lovell, and Goldie Lovell; and two brothers, Ralph Lovell and Junior Lovell.
Loving family members that are left to treasure her memory is her step-mother, June Lovell, of Blairsville; daughters and sons-in-law: Goldie and Sam Nichols of Young Harris, Georgia; and Judy and Jim Thompson of Blairsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Rachel Anderson, and Rev. Michael and Diane Anderson, all of Blairsville; sister, Lucille Bridges, of Blairsville; brother, Randall Lovell, of Whitwell, Tennessee; and half sister, Bobbie Jones, of Blairsville; nine grandchildren: Glenda Deyton, Stuart Nichols, Greta Young, Erin Thompson, Matthew Anderson, Megan Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Jessica Parker, and Jacob Anderson; eleven great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson have been scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Anderson, and Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Stuart Nichols, Matthew Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Jordan Deyton, and Josh Bryson. Selected to serve as honorary escort to the family is Jesse Deyton. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband. Visitation at the funeral home will be held on Friday evening, December 6, 2013, between the hours of 5 until 9 p.m.
Flowers are being graciously accepted; any memorial contributions may be directed to The Alzheimer's Association, or The Gideons International.
