I had the pleasure of calling Ruth one of my dearest friends. We worked together at CBMC for several years. Ruth loved her family and was very proud of each of them. She was a treasure who will be greatly missed. My husband, Hoyt and I send our sincere condolences and prayers to each member of her family. May God bless each of you.

I had the privilege of working with Ruth at Copper Basin Med Ctr for a number of years. She was such a sweet and wonderful person. She was always willing to help everyone. She always had a smile and she always seemed to make the workday brighter. I know she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to call her my friend.

I worked with Ruth at Copper Basin Medical Center for a few years before she retired. She was such a special person to me. She was always there when you needed her no matter what. I am so sorry for your loss. I know the angels in heaven are rejoicing today now that they have her home with them. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Karen, I am very sorry to hear about your mom... Ruth was always such a sweet person and always had a smile.. She will be greatly missed. You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. Hold to God's hand and he will be there with you. I lost my mom in August and with God's help you will be ok.

Mama Ruth, what we affectionately called her, always met you at the door with a big ole grin on her face. No matter how she was feeling that day there was that smile. A woman that enjoyed her sweets so much that it could put a healthy person into a diabetic coma. Yes, coconut cake was one of her favorites almost as much as she loved the Yellow Jacket Chicken. Which by the way was almost as big as she was. Jami and I always loved to visit and do things for her and will miss her dearly. Yes, Copperhill lost an angel in the flesh but heaven gained an angel in spirit. Enjoy your Sweets Mama Ruth!

Karen & Sharon I am so so sorry to hear about your Mom. Karen I am sorry that we lost touch after all these years in passing. We were kindred sisters in a way. Sharon it was so nice getting to know you & meet you as part of Mama Kat's Family. I only had the special chance of meeting your Mom at Mama Kat's a few times when I was visiting. Our hearts are broken for Ruth and her family. They have all been through so very much this year. Christmas was Ruth's favorite time of year and how wonderful that she get's to spend it with Jesus! She will be missed very much........until we meet again.

Ruth loved her lunch from the Yellow Jacket in Blue Ridge, GA! We always enjoyed meeting her when Karen and Rick would invite us to lunch with them at the Yellow Jacket. The Yellow Jacket is famous for their fresh fried chicken! Ruth loved their chicken! Well we all did, especially Rick!! And if you ever eat at the Yellow Jacket and order the famous fried chicken, you will be promptly told it will take 25 minutes to cook! A little secret, call ahead if you dont like to wait. But we always had a great time when we met for lunch with Ruth! And I think Ruth enjoyed these lunches too. She would sit back and listen all of us talk and laugh about our jobs! And I will always think of Ruth when I see or buy a coconut cake. Greg and I made a couple coconut cake deliveries when she got a sweet tooth. And when we got to her house I always got the first hug. But she always called me her "sweet Jami". Sorry Greg, I know you were jealous. We have many fond memories and were blessed to have known Ruth. Every time I visit Copper Hill, TN., I will always look up on the hill where you lived and think of you.
